Terms of service

SHIPPING POLICY

The Parts Market supplies automotive parts to customers in the United Arab Emirates and internationally.

We aim to dispatch orders as quickly and securely as possible. Because many orders are shipped internationally, delivery times can vary depending on the destination, courier service, customs clearance and local delivery conditions.

ORDER PROCESSING & HANDLING

Orders are processed during normal business working days.

The handling or dispatch time applicable to an item may vary depending on stock location, availability and whether the part requires additional verification or preparation before shipment.

Where a handling time is shown on the product or order, this should be treated separately from the courier's estimated transit time.

Orders containing multiple products may be dispatched together once all items are ready unless otherwise agreed.

DELIVERY TIMES

Any delivery date or transit time provided by The Parts Market or a courier is an estimate and not a guaranteed delivery date, unless a specific guaranteed courier service has been purchased and expressly stated as such.

Delivery times may be affected by circumstances outside our control, including:

  • Customs clearance
  • Courier network delays
  • Weather conditions
  • Public holidays
  • Flight or transport disruption
  • Remote-area delivery
  • Security checks
  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery information
  • Local government or regulatory requirements

A delay in transit does not automatically mean that a shipment is lost.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

The Parts Market ships internationally to many destinations.

International courier costs can be significant, and customers should ensure that the item, part number and delivery details are correct before placing an order.

If you are unsure whether a part is suitable for your vehicle, please contact us before ordering. Where relevant, we may request your VIN / chassis number, vehicle details, engine code or existing part number to assist with identification.

SHIPPING CHARGES

Shipping charges are calculated according to factors including:

  • Destination
  • Shipment weight
  • Parcel size
  • Courier service
  • Number of packages
  • Any applicable remote-area or special-handling charges

Where shipping is described as free or included in the purchase price, this does not mean that no shipping cost has been incurred by The Parts Market.

The actual shipping cost may remain relevant where an order is subsequently returned for reasons that are not the fault of The Parts Market, subject to our Return & Refund Policy and applicable law.

TRACKING

Where tracking is available, tracking information will be provided after the shipment has been dispatched and processed by the courier.

Tracking information may take some time to become active after a shipping label has been created.

Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking information and responding promptly to communications from the courier where action is required.

DELIVERY ADDRESS

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

Please check the following carefully before completing your order:

  • Recipient name
  • Street address
  • Building, unit or apartment number
  • City
  • State, province or emirate where applicable
  • Postal or ZIP code
  • Country
  • Telephone number
  • Email address

If an incorrect or incomplete address is supplied, delivery may be delayed, refused, redirected or returned.

Where a shipment must be redirected or returned because incorrect delivery information was supplied by the customer, any additional courier charges incurred may be the customer's responsibility where permitted by applicable law.

ADDRESS CHANGES AFTER DISPATCH

Please contact us immediately if you notice an error in your delivery address.

We will try to assist where possible, but once a shipment has been handed to the courier, we cannot guarantee that the delivery address can be changed.

Couriers may charge an address-correction or redirection fee. Where such a charge results from incorrect information supplied by the customer, the cost may be passed on to the customer where permitted by applicable law.

RECEIVING YOUR SHIPMENT

Please inspect the parcel when it is delivered.

If the packaging appears damaged, crushed, opened or otherwise affected in transit, we recommend taking clear photographs before opening the parcel.

Where possible, retain:

  • The shipping carton
  • Internal packaging
  • Courier labels
  • The damaged item
  • Any other evidence of transit damage

This may be required for us to submit a claim to the courier.

DAMAGED SHIPMENTS

If an item arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide:

  • Your order number
  • Photographs of the outer packaging
  • Photographs of the courier label
  • Photographs of the internal packaging
  • Clear photographs of the damaged item

Please do not dispose of the packaging or damaged item until we advise you that it is no longer required.

Where transit damage is confirmed, we will work with the customer and courier to resolve the matter in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.

LOST SHIPMENTS

If tracking shows no movement for an unusual period or the shipment appears to be lost, please contact us.

We may need to open an investigation with the courier before a shipment can officially be treated as lost.

Courier investigations can take time, particularly for international shipments.

If the courier confirms that a shipment has been lost, we will arrange an appropriate replacement or refund in accordance with the circumstances of the order and applicable law.

UNSUCCESSFUL DELIVERY ATTEMPTS

Couriers may make one or more delivery attempts or may leave the shipment at a local collection point.

Customers are responsible for following courier instructions and arranging redelivery or collection where required.

If a parcel is not collected or cannot be delivered and is returned to The Parts Market, additional shipping and handling costs may be incurred.

Where the failed delivery is not caused by an error on the part of The Parts Market, these costs may be deducted from any refund where permitted by applicable law.

REFUSED OR UNCOLLECTED SHIPMENTS

If a customer refuses delivery, fails to collect a shipment, does not respond to the courier, or otherwise causes the parcel to be returned, a refund will only be considered after the item has been returned to us and inspected.

Where permitted by applicable law, deductions may include:

  • Original outgoing shipping charges
  • Return shipping charged by the courier
  • Storage or handling charges
  • Courier administration charges
  • Other direct costs resulting from the failed delivery

Where customs duties or import-clearance requirements are involved, please also refer to our Customs Duties & Taxes policy.

CUSTOMS DUTIES & TAXES

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, clearance charges or other local costs imposed by the destination country.

These matters are covered separately in our Customs Duties & Taxes Policy.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, these charges are the responsibility of the recipient.

SPLIT SHIPMENTS

In some circumstances, an order containing multiple items may be shipped in more than one parcel.

Where this occurs, separate tracking numbers may be provided.

Receiving one parcel does not necessarily mean that the remaining items are missing.

DELIVERY TO THIRD PARTIES

If a customer asks us to deliver to a freight forwarder, hotel, workplace, workshop, friend, relative or other third party, delivery to that nominated address will normally be treated as delivery to the customer.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the nominated recipient is able and authorised to receive the parcel.

COURIER DELAYS

Once a parcel has been handed to the courier, movement of the shipment is controlled by the courier network and relevant authorities.

The Parts Market will provide reasonable assistance in investigating delays, but we cannot accept responsibility for delays caused solely by events outside our reasonable control.

This does not affect any rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

RETURNS

Shipping costs associated with product returns are governed by our Return & Refund Policy.

Where the correct item has been supplied and a customer changes their mind, orders incorrectly, no longer requires the item or finds the item elsewhere at a different price, The Parts Market is not responsible for absorbing international outbound and return shipping costs, subject to applicable law.

I’d use this as the working final Shipping Policy. It separates shipping, returns, and customs cleanly while still cross-referencing the other policies where necessary.

Keep Use automated policy switched OFF.

We’re writing TPM’s own Shipping Policy, and turning that on could replace or alter the wording based on Shopify’s automated template.

So:

  • Automated policy: OFF
  • paste the TPM Shipping Policy into the editor
  • Save

That keeps the policy fully under your control.

Contact say REQUIRED

Yes — Contact information is marked Required, so we should complete that before launch.

This is different from your normal Contact Us page. Shopify wants a short legal/business contact record showing who operates the store and how customers can reach you.

I’d put something like:

The Parts Market LLC
United Arab Emirates

Website: thepartsmarket.com
Email: sales@thepartsmarket.com
Trade enquiries: trade@thepartsmarket.com

For order support, product enquiries, fitment assistance, returns or other customer-service matters, please contact us through our Contact Us page or by email.

If Shopify asks for a registered business address, use the actual registered address from the company licence rather than just “United Arab Emirates.”

We should complete Contact information now. After that, the other important missing legal item in your screenshot is Terms of service.

whats next

Next is Terms of Service — that’s the main missing policy showing in your Shopify list.

Go to:

Shopify Admin → Settings → Policies → Terms of service

Keep any automated-policy option OFF if Shopify offers it.

Open the blank Terms of Service section and tell me done. I’ll draft a TPM-specific version covering orders, pricing, fitment/VIN checks, product information, payment, cancellations, international sales, liability, intellectual property, and links back to the Return, Shipping and Customs policies.

done

Paste the following into Terms of service. I’ve written it around how TPM actually operates: international automotive parts, VIN/fitment assistance, low-margin international shipping, separate customs/returns/shipping policies, and the 3-month parts guarantee.

TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service govern the use of The Parts Market website and the purchase of products from The Parts Market LLC, United Arab Emirates.

By accessing our website, creating an account, placing an order or purchasing goods from us, you agree to these Terms of Service together with our applicable policies, including our Return & Refund Policy, Shipping Policy, Customs Duties & Taxes Policy, Privacy Policy and any product-specific terms displayed on our website.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.

1. ABOUT THE PARTS MARKET

The Parts Market supplies genuine, OEM and aftermarket automotive parts to retail, trade and international customers.

Our website is intended to help customers identify, purchase and receive automotive parts for a wide range of vehicles and applications.

2. PRODUCT INFORMATION

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, images, part numbers, specifications and compatibility information are accurate.

However, manufacturers may change packaging, labelling, specifications, superseded part numbers or product appearance without notice.

Product images may therefore be representative and minor packaging or cosmetic differences do not necessarily mean that a product is incorrect.

Where a manufacturer has superseded a part number with a replacement or updated number, we may supply the current equivalent where appropriate.

3. VEHICLE FITMENT & COMPATIBILITY

Automotive parts can vary according to model, production date, engine, chassis, market specification and other vehicle-specific factors.

Customers are responsible for checking suitability before installation.

Where available, we may assist customers using information such as:

  • VIN / chassis number
  • Make and model
  • Year
  • Engine code
  • Existing part number
  • Vehicle specification

Any fitment assistance provided by The Parts Market is intended to help identify the correct part using the information available to us.

If incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate vehicle information is supplied by the customer, The Parts Market cannot be responsible for a resulting incorrect identification where we have reasonably relied on that information.

Customers should not install a part if there is any doubt regarding compatibility.

4. VIN / CHASSIS CHECK SERVICE

Our VIN / Chassis Check service is provided as an identification aid.

We will make reasonable efforts to verify the requested part using the vehicle information supplied, but no identification system is infallible.

Where additional information is required, we may ask for photographs, existing part numbers or further vehicle details before confirming an application.

A VIN or chassis check does not override the customer's obligation to inspect and compare the supplied part before installation.

5. ORDERS

Submitting an order does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • A product is unavailable
  • Pricing or product information contains an obvious error
  • Payment cannot be authorised
  • Fraud or security concerns arise
  • Delivery to the requested destination is not possible
  • Export, sanctions, customs or legal restrictions prevent fulfilment

If payment has already been taken for an order that we cannot fulfil, the appropriate amount will be refunded.

6. PRICING

Prices are displayed in the currency selected or shown on the website.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure pricing is accurate but errors may occasionally occur.

Where an obvious pricing error is discovered before dispatch, we may contact the customer to confirm whether they wish to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order.

We are not obliged to supply goods at an obviously incorrect price where the error should reasonably have been apparent.

7. PAYMENT

Orders must normally be paid in full before dispatch unless separate trade credit arrangements have been agreed in writing.

Payment may be processed through Shopify or other authorised payment providers.

The Parts Market does not control the internal processing rules, security checks or authorisation decisions of third-party payment providers.

8. SHIPPING

Shipping is governed by our Shipping Policy.

Handling time and courier transit time are separate.

Any quoted delivery date or transit time is an estimate unless the service is expressly stated as guaranteed.

International delivery may be affected by customs clearance, courier delays, weather, transport disruption, local holidays or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

9. CUSTOMS DUTIES & TAXES

International customers may be required to pay customs duties, VAT, import taxes, brokerage fees, clearance fees or other local charges.

These charges are governed by our separate Customs Duties & Taxes Policy.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, such charges are the responsibility of the customer or recipient.

We will not falsify customs values, declare commercial goods as gifts or provide misleading customs documentation.

10. RETURNS & REFUNDS

Returns are governed by our Return & Refund Policy.

Where an item is defective, damaged, incorrect or materially not as described, we will deal with the matter in accordance with that policy and applicable law.

Where the correct item has been supplied and the customer changes their mind, orders incorrectly, no longer requires the item or finds the item elsewhere at a different price, the customer may be responsible for outbound and return shipping costs and other permitted deductions.

International shipping costs can be significant and customers are encouraged to confirm part suitability before ordering.

11. CANCELLATIONS

Customers should contact us as soon as possible if they wish to cancel an order.

We will make reasonable efforts to cancel an order before dispatch.

Once an order has been handed to the courier, cancellation may no longer be possible and the order may instead be treated as a return under our Return & Refund Policy.

12. PARTS GUARANTEE

Unless otherwise stated for a particular product, parts supplied by The Parts Market are covered by a 3-month guarantee against manufacturing defects.

The guarantee applies from the date of delivery and is subject to appropriate assessment of the alleged defect.

Where relevant, we may require proof of professional installation, including a garage invoice, mechanic's report or other supporting documentation.

The guarantee does not normally cover faults caused by incorrect installation, contamination, overheating, oil starvation, misuse, modification, failure of another vehicle component, accident, neglect, normal wear and tear or other external causes.

Guarantee claims may require inspection by The Parts Market, the manufacturer or supplier before a claim can be approved.

This guarantee does not limit any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. INSTALLATION OF PARTS

Automotive parts should be installed by a suitably qualified or competent person where professional installation is appropriate.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that installation is carried out correctly and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

Before installation, the customer or installer should compare the supplied part with the removed part and confirm:

  • Part number
  • Dimensions
  • Connections
  • Orientation
  • Specification
  • Vehicle application

A part should not be installed where there is a visible or obvious discrepancy.

14. LABOUR & CONSEQUENTIAL COSTS

Unless required by applicable law, The Parts Market's responsibility in relation to a defective product is limited to the product supplied.

We do not normally reimburse consequential or associated costs including labour, diagnosis, removal, refitting, recovery, towing, vehicle hire, loss of vehicle use, loss of earnings or damage caused to other components.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such liability cannot legally be excluded.

15. SPECIAL-ORDER PRODUCTS

Some products may be specially sourced or ordered specifically for a customer's requirement.

Special-order, made-to-order or specifically sourced goods may not be eligible for change-of-mind cancellation or return once sourcing or procurement has begun, subject to applicable law.

Where reasonably possible, we will identify special-order items before or during the ordering process.

16. CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS

Customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for activity conducted through their account.

Please notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or restrict accounts where there is evidence of fraud, misuse, abusive behaviour or security concerns.

17. ACCEPTABLE USE OF THE WEBSITE

You must not use our website to commit fraud, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorised access, scrape protected information unlawfully or use the website in a manner that violates applicable law.

We reserve the right to restrict access where misuse is suspected.

18. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise stated, website content created by or for The Parts Market, including branding, text, layouts, graphics and original imagery, remains the property of The Parts Market or its respective licensors.

Manufacturer names, logos, trademarks and product references remain the property of their respective owners.

Their use on our website does not imply ownership by The Parts Market.

19. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Our website may use third-party services including Shopify, payment processors, courier companies and other service providers.

These services may be subject to their own terms, privacy policies and operating conditions.

The Parts Market is not responsible for third-party services beyond matters for which we are legally responsible.

20. WEBSITE AVAILABILITY

We aim to keep the website available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical faults, service-provider issues or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

21. CHANGES TO PRODUCTS, PRICES & SERVICES

We may update products, availability, specifications, pricing, website content and services from time to time.

Changes will not normally affect an order that has already been accepted except where necessary to correct an error, comply with law or resolve an issue with fulfilment.

22. FRAUD & PAYMENT SECURITY

Orders may be subject to fraud-prevention, payment-security or identity-verification checks.

Where reasonable verification is required, dispatch may be delayed until checks are completed.

We reserve the right to cancel transactions that present a genuine fraud or security risk.

23. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Parts Market will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses resulting from use of the website or products supplied.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for matters that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

24. FORCE MAJEURE

The Parts Market will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, war, civil disturbance, strikes, transport disruption, courier interruption, government restrictions, customs action, epidemics, telecommunications failure or similar events.

25. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to The Parts Market LLC in the United Arab Emirates, subject to any mandatory consumer rights or protections that apply in the customer's jurisdiction and cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive a consumer of protections that apply to them under mandatory law.

26. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to our business, website, services, policies or legal requirements.

The version published on our website at the relevant time will apply.
